CULTO at Designblok: modular concrete furniture that assembles like LEGO

The new Czech brand CULTO is presenting its world premiere at Designblok 2025 – a modular furniture kit made of lightweight concrete. The material with a high proportion of recycled content, a sophisticated connection system and playful variability move concrete from architecture directly into interiors.

Concrete in interiors usually plays the role of a hidden structural element. CULTO reverses this logic: it creates a modular system from a “heavy” material that is light, variable and aesthetically pure. Thanks to its own formula, the blocks weigh up to 60% less than classic concrete and their dry assembly requires no glue or tools. At the same time, the mixture is made up of almost 70% secondary raw materials, including recycled glass.

The premiere installation at Designblok will showcase the first edition of five basic concrete colors and the CULTO SHELF system with powder-coated shelves. The exhibition design was prepared by award-winning architect Petr Hák together with the brand's co-founder Michal Brach.

"We want concrete to be treated as naturally as wood or metal - refined, with respect, but also with playfulness," says Michal Brach.

The brand is also launching a waiting list for the first customers. Production of the series will start in early 2026 - until then, interested parties can reserve their place without obligation and gain access to limited editions and special color variants.

CULTO is also launching the CULTO Studio program for architects and interior designers, including sampling and tailor-made solutions. The next step will be an online configurator allowing customers to assemble their own custom-made bookcases, chests of drawers or office installations.

The brand's ambition is to build a globally respected Czech modular furniture brand "Made in Czechia" by 2030 and gradually expand to Berlin and Copenhagen.
